Season of Expectations

There is a popular saying that states "Delay is not Denial". I believe we are in a season that God is bringing forth and will manifest all that we've been praying and seeking Him for. Wipe your tears because:

"Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning." Psalms 30:5 ESV

In my own life, I have so many expectations of what I've been trusting and waiting on God to do. If this also sounds like you, DO NOT GIVE UP NOW! You are closer than you think, your testimony is here. The word of God tells us something important.

"Surely there is a future (and a reward), and your hope and expectation will not be cut off." Proverbs 23:18 AMP

Maybe you are saying to yourself "Well I thought it would have happened in January, April, or maybe September and now you feel empty and discouraged, don't be. Our God has times and seasons in His hands. A day is like a thousand years and a thousand years is like one day in His eyes. (2 Peter 3:8) https://bible.com/bible/1588/2pe.3.8.AMP God exists out of time. He is never late.

"For the vision is yet for the appointed (future) time, it hurries toward the goal (of fulfillment), it will not fail. Even though it delays, wait (patiently) for it, because it will certainly come, it will not delay." Habakkuk 2:3 AMP

There are prophecies and visions that I've been holding on to ALL year and now its December yet I still believe in the God of the 11th hour! I refuse to let go of His promises. I choose to stand on the word of God and say what Jacob said that he will not let God go until He blesses him. Can you take a moment and tell God "I will not let you go until you Bless me?"

I thought to myself the other day, the reason why I haven't seen God move yet is because:

  1. He said in the word the last shall be the first

  2. He's piling my miracles all up and will deliver all at once

  3. He wants to move in a BIG way and prove He alone is God

It was heavy on my heart to write this blog because it came out of an incident that occurred recently. I know God was trying to get my attention and teach me a few things.

So, there was a package sent out for me and two other people with the estimated arrival time for last Wednesday. From time to time, I would check the tracking information on all three so I could have updates. On Wednesday the packages were delivered to everyone except me. Of course I was frustrated but kept on checking the tracking update throughout the day and by the end of the day, the tracking status said "Delayed." I was thinking "No, I want it now not later and why out of everyone was mine delayed?" The next day I continued checking on the tracking status with the same message "Delayed." At this point I'm impatient and wondering why there is a delay. Another day has passed and I decided to call customer service to find out more information. They apologized and explained there has been a delay across the U.S. with packages because of the holiday season but not to worry because its within my state however the actual delivery date is unknown to them.

The Holy Spirit started speaking to me in that moment through this scenario. He was showing me that hope/expectation never disappoints. Because I was expecting my package, I had to look out for it continuously. The same mindset should be applied in our dealings with God. If God has spoken a word in your life, hold Him to it, take His word back to Him continuously. Don't give up on your expectation just because it has not shown up yet. Your package is on the way if only you can wait a little longer, surely it will happen when you least expect it.

Remember I said my package was delayed not missing, nor did they tell me "Sorry we will not deliver." God is building something special and spectacular just for you! Your long awaited prayer is within arms reach, be patient.

What to do in the waiting when you expect God to show up?

  1. Keep believing

  2. Keep trusting

  3. Declare with your mouth His word (search scriptures to back up your situation)

  4. Praise Him

  5. Remove all sources of fear, doubt, and anxiety

Let me dwell on number 5 for a moment:

"Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything (every circumstance and situation) by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your (specific) requests known to God." Philippians 4:6 AMP

The enemy's agenda is to steal that word and expectation from your heart. Guard it! The devil wants God to look like a liar. Let's take God at His word. There's a beautiful old hymn that says:

"'Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,

Just to take Him at His Word

Just to rest upon His promise,

Just to know, "Thus saith the Lord!"

Brother's and Sister's I'm believing God with you in this season, surely you are next in line for a testimony!
