Are you Standing Out?

“You are the light of [Christ to] the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. [Mark 4:21; Luke 8:16; 11:33] Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and [recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is in heaven.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭14‬-‭16‬ ‭AMP‬‬

My sisters and I grew up being tall young ladies that everywhere we went, we were noticed and recognized by many. People would make comments on our height or ask if we played basketball. At a point in my childhood, I did not like being tall because it was different from others in my age bracket, and I felt it was not normal that at such a young age I was already tall. As I began to grow older I embraced and appreciated every bit of my height because that is how God created me.

If you are a child of God, you are meant to be tall, recognized, different, talked about, and stand out. Yes this is true. Read the above scripture again. God's message to you today is that you my friend are not ordinary. God created you and I and put His very spirit inside of us. Christ lives in you so how can something so grand be suppressed? Standing out tall is not for your sake but for the sake of Christ. Remember your identity in Christ. We daily represent Him whether that is on the streets, on your job, in your career, in your family, in your calling, and to the world at large. Want to know what that means? You are ALREADY a success and can never fail. Everything that stems from God is pure. God has never and will never birth a failure as that is not in His nature (unless you willingly accept failure). Carry this mental note and know who you are in Christ for this is the confidence you have.

Forget about if you do not "feel" qualified enough. He qualifies the unqualified and unsits kings and and also raises up kings. Your background, culture, upbringing, or family does not matter. The only thing that qualifies you is the blood of Jesus Christ. You carry a powerful DNA thats stronger than your mother or father's.

I hear even Christians say well "My father/mother was a _______________." It does not matter. The blood of Jesus speaks a better word on your behalf. You are unstoppable and there is nothing the devil can do about it. But, you must have this mindest that you are a city set on a hill. You are light. You are bright. Think positive thoughts that is what is permitted beyond this point.

“Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart].”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭8‬ ‭AMP‬‬

God wants you to shine more than you do for yourself. You want to know why? It is because you are important to His kingdom and accomplishing His agenda here on earth. The latter part of Matthew 5:16 provides the answer. So others may see your good deeds and moral excellence and recognize and honor and glorify God. There is a rising of the sons of men on earth, for its time to arise and shine for light has come! Now is not the time to retreat, hide, or to disqualify yourself from light. The voice of your adversary will attempt to speak but do not give him a foothold. Fight back with the word of God and what He says about you and your vision.
