Think about Good things

On a daily basis, what do you occupy your mind with? If we could evaluate ourselves and reflect on the things we think about everyday I think we would be amazed.
The thoughts that fill your mind will set the trajectory of things surrounding your life.
”Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart].“
Philippians 4:8 AMP
There is negative thinking and positive thinking. If you constantly say or think about yourself in a negative way that is what you will project. It would be difficult to see yourself being great or succeeding in life.
As an educator, I hear kids say all sorts of things. It is my responsibility to constantly shape their minds into positive self image and thinking. If I can successfully do this, they have a better chance at excelling. They have moments of weakness where frustrations come out but a simple reminder of "You can do this" and sowing that seed into their heart so they also believe is essential.
There will be moments in your journey that you have the responsibility of encouraging yourself. Life is not a straight life. The path at times may feel bumpy and rough at times but do not allow that to get you down. Think about good things. Write down your visions and aspirations. Find scriptures to back them up.
Know that anything negative is not of God but from the devil. He is the originator of lies.
”You are of your father the devil, and it is your will to practice the desires [which are characteristic] of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks what is natural to him, for he is a liar and the father of lies and half-truths.“
John 8:44 AMP
Anything that does not align with the word of God is from the devil. As the scripture mentioned in Philippians 4:8, "whatever is right and confirmed by God's word", this is what we must occupy our minds with. God's word is truth! Find out what the scripture says about you and that settles it. Do you know the Bible addresses all areas concerning life?
The devil's agenda over your life is to destroy you. He can use you to destroy you. What do I mean? If for example you believe you are "stupid" or a "loser" and all you listen to are depressing songs or read books of that nature, you will confess and embody that image. The devil will help you accomplish that.
If you are a believer you are to reflect the Father in all ways. If you don't hear God saying something do not accept it! I hear people or even Christians make funny statementa like "I have ADHD" or "I'm OCD" so loosely. Does the Bible mention this? No. When you read and meditate on the word of God, it will gradually change your thinking pattern and outlook on life. I emphasize the Bible because it's not just a book it's a spirit.
”It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh conveys no benefit [it is of no account]. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and life [providing eternal life].“
John 6:63 AMP
I will say it again do not accept anything about yourself that is not from the written word. Reflect on the word of God for it is LIFE giving.
